Since 2018, the Mountain Goat Trail Runners have built a truly remarkable event series. Many hands from club members prepared, planned, set up, packed up, cheered, flipped sausages and shared a laugh with hundreds of entrants from across Australia.
The team at Run Vault are more than proud to continue and build this series in one of the fastest growing sports in Australia, trail running!

HIGHTAIL
A popular mid distance trail run that takes your through some of the most popular tracks on the mountain as well as the beautiful yet technical Eugenia circuit. The perfect start to a Sunday morning! We've had blistering race times at this event over the years with a fast downhill run to the finish.
BILLY
Billy The Kid made it's mark in the series in 2022, with great feedback it's here to stay. Running rainforest type trails on scout camping land in Moggil, you'll run the 6km course not once, but twice. Find your second lap mojo with high fives from spectators as you head out for your second lap.
SUREFOOT
The longest run in our series, the Surefoot half marathon. 21km of trails that aims to have your climbing legs jiggling like jelly at the finish line. A challenging race that has you reaching the summit of Mt Coot-Tha 3 times. Step up to the plate and be rewarded with Strava Kudos and finish line hugs!

The Mountain Goat Trail Series by Run Vault are organised by a group of runners who love trails, adventure and all round good laughs. We've created this series to make an inclusive and safe environment for everyone to enjoy Brisbane's backyard!
